Four simple actions that women can’t get enough of

There’s one specific thing I’ve noticed a lot of men do lately that has gotten me very hot under the collar.

It’s a little old school and not what you’d expect, but good Lord makes me go.

So imagine this. Last week, I went on a date with this guy who is not your typical guy in town. He doesn’t have social media, doesn’t stare at his phone non-stop during dates, and isn’t even remotely interested in swiping on dating apps. Mark it. Mark it. Mark it.

But that wasn’t it.

While most guys might enjoy the latest Marvel movie, brag about their gym accomplishments, or drone on about their work, this guy did something that instantly set him apart.

He started talking about the book he was reading. Yes, a book.

The way he talked about it so enthusiastically made me want to whip out the ol’ library card hidden somewhere in my room and dig deep into one myself.

And then … Later that week, I was looking for pictures of Jacob Elordi who you may remember from that certain bathroom scene in Burning salt. I was talking to a friend about how hot he is when I went online to show her examples.

Instead of the usual glam shots, I came across a paparazzi photo of him in a bookstore, casually browsing through books. It was giving “hot guy reading”.

I mean, who knew a man steeped in literature could be so vava voom?

But my pornographic revelations of the book were not done yet.

Then I came across this Instagram page called “Hot Guys Reading NYC”. You guessed it – it’s dedicated to capturing candid photos of handsome men reading on the subway and around town.

Forget the typical pages of eye candy – this site is a treasure trove of literary allure.

Seeing a man lost in a book, completely engrossed and maybe even a little disheveled from a day of adventures on the subway, was surprisingly sexy.

So what is it about this simple act that is making women around the world a little “um” thirsty?

Well, for starters, it’s not just about the physical act of reading, it’s what it represents.

A guy who reads shows he has depth.

He’s not browsing “hot girls in bikinis” on the gram. He is expanding his mind.

Seriously, when a guy starts discussing his latest read, he’s not just showing off what’s on his bookshelf. He’s giving you a glimpse into his interests, his passions, and his intellectual side.

But it is not only books that turn us on as women. Let’s look at other simple actions that get us going:

1. Cooking a meal

There’s a reason why Anthony Bourdain, Antoni Porowski, Salt Bae and the hot guy from They bear are all on our wish lists. The simple art of making someone a meal says “I care about you and I want to make sure you’re well fed.”

I’m talking about a man who rolls up his sleeves, gets his hands a little dirty, and whips up a meal from scratch. Whether it’s a fancy dinner or a simple homemade pasta, it shows creativity, effort and a modern man.

2. Men walking on the side of the path

Of course, in this day and age we women shouldn’t be asking for special treatment, but let’s face it, a man who makes us feel protected is sexy as f**k.

3. Men who share pictures of their almost-masculine pets on Instagram

True story, I follow a guy on Instagram who adopted a kitten he found on his way home from the pub one night. His hilarious scrolls showing him taking care of this funny furry creature have left me speechless.

So gentlemen, if you’re looking to turn heads and win hearts, think outside the box.

Share what you’re reading—whether it’s the latest bestseller, a classic, or something unique and quirky—and let your literary interests shine.

Rest assured, if I see a guy on my next train journey from Bondi to the city in a good novel, you can be sure I’ll be checking him out.

Who knew literature could be the ultimate aphrodisiac?
